Melting Pot

Stirring together genres, styles and cultures to create something unique, refreshing and thought-provoking. Melting Pot is a short-works showcase of works created by Freshmans Dance Crew and a number of pieces from guest choreographers, musicians, designers and spoken word artists.

This show merges hip hop / street dance, contemporary dance, physical theatre, haka and pacific movement with a soundtrack of chart-toppers, throwbacks and originals that will bring an energy like no other. Performance includes local Waitara rangatahi performing live on stage!

Freshmans Dance Crew and friends bring works from Hadleigh Pouesi, Christopher Ofanoa, Faith Schuster, Carlo Darang, Leilani Elliott and more to life in this invigorating and intimate exploration of movement and space.
